
Pamir Airways, a local plane was lost from radar around 8am Monday.
The plane was traveling from Kunduz to Kabul which is the capital of Afghanistan.
A speaker for the Interior Ministry has stated that it has been confirmed that the plane with 38 passengers along with 5 crew members did crash in the location of the Salang Pass.
The Salang Pass is located about 60 miles on the north side of Kabul and goes across the mountainous Hindu Kush area.
It has been confirmed by the minister that there were passengers from other countries flying on the plane.
The reason the place wrecked is not at this time known.
A spokes person for NATO who is leading the search has stated that the rescue efforts have begun.
