
It wasn’t an accident between the two boats, both sank in individual incidents.
The boat which had 45 migrants on board, the majority of the passengers were from Ethiopia, sank in the Red Sea. Three passengers who are thought to be from Somalia, are alive and were located on the Yemen coast.
There were possibly 35 to 40 passengers on the other boat which sank off the coast of Lahj province.
A lot of the passengers were women and children. Everyone on the second boat were from Ethiopia.
They are searching for the passengers still missing.
The passengers were possibly seeking a better life by crossing the Gulf of Aden.
