Ship Sinks near Tripoli
The ship was from Uruguayan. It was carrying animals in route for Tartous, Syria. At this time, it is not known it the ship had alread reached Tartous and was returning or if it was still in route. If is was still in route, it is assumed that all the animals have perished.
There have been 38 of the passengers found. Another 4 passengers that perished were found near the north coast line of Lebanon.
Naval forces from Lebanon and the United Nations continue to search for the remaining passengers. It is believed that most had life preservers on.
There are still at least 41 people unaccounted for at the time of this report.
