China has been receiving a rise in violent threats in the Xinjiang region, where the minority Muslim Uighurs reside. The latter is against the domination of Chinese government in its region, and is protesting for the return of its independence. The Uighurs are also displeased with the government restraining on their freedom. For instance, their action such as the usage of internet are closely monitored and controlled. Also, many have been caught and detained for questioning over suspected issue.
Some Uighurs have even resolved to violence in their demand for equal rights. In a recent bomb attack in Xinjiang, a bomb was detonated in an office by a man that caused two workers to be injured. Though the details of the attack is still unknown, it is believed to be responsible by the Uighurs.
