Floods in the country of Columbia left thousands of its people homeless.
Due to continuous pouring of heavy rains during the past few days the Magdalena River has swelled and inundated all the areas around.

The river has flooded the northern part of Columbia leaving atleast 50 000 homeless.
Another city on the banks of Magdalena River, Plato has also been evaded by the river and left more than 20 000 people angry and homeless.

Reports suggest that the water has evolved upto chest high in most of the areas leaving all the means of transport submerged in water.
The Magdalena River rises on the eastern slopes of the Andes Mountains in southern Colombia. It flows northwards through the centre of the country for about 950 miles (1,530 km) and empties into the Caribbean Sea near Barranquilla.

Heavy rains have been around Columbia since September displacing more than a million people and taking atleast 60 people.
Most of the Columbian country is found wet due to these heavy rains.
