Floods in Brazil has caused much disruptions to the lives of many, including forcing them to clear off from their homes. They have been forced to abandon their homes due to the danger of possible increase in severity of floods. To date, northeastern areas of Brazil have received reports of deaths, amounting to 14 people. Aside from this, many have been missing since the beginning of the floods, while rescue works are on the way to recover the missing ones.

According to local officials, Brazil is experiencing the most severe floods in nearly two decades. The gushing water has flooded most roads, causing blockages and inconvenience to local commuters. Mudslides and collapsed buildings are common scene along the affected areas. Governor of Piaui, the worst hit state, has declared a state of emergency in several towns and cities.

As officials are expecting the torrential rain to batter parts of Brazil, contingency plans and emergency aids are the top most priority in the current situation.
