
There were people that had to be rescued from their cars and homes due to the rapidly rising water. Some people reported water being as deep as 6 feet.
The worst hit areas include Loswithiel, St Austell, St Blazey, and Mevagissey. It has been advised by the environmental agency that there could be more flooding overnight.
Many services have been dsrupted by the flooding. Some include trains and schools.
There have been abandoned cars retrieved from the flood waters.
Emergency shelters have been set up with blankets and ground sheets donated by a charity, ShelterBox. The shelter is at Polkyth Leisure Ctr in St Austell. They have enough blankets for 200 people.
At the time police have no reports of serious injuries.
