Northern parts of Queensland have been subjected to heavy rainfall leaving over 60% of the place completely submerged in rain water.
Normanton has been submerged under the water for more than a week now.
Rains took a short interval on Friday, which relaxed the people who were wishing for the rains to stop. But the rains showed up again increasing the floods.
This is by far the heaviest monsoon the country has ever witnessed. The Meteorological team has confirmed that this is way over the average monsoon index that they have been expecting.
Fires south have claimed over 180 people, where the floods have displaced a lot of people also resulting in disappearance of a lot more.
