
Floods in Australia
Australia has been experiencing its greatest challenge in terms of natural disasters. Ranging from floods in the eastern and northern region to the bushfires in the south, residents in the affected zones are fleeing to avoid being victims in the disasters. According to local officials, rains coupled with strong winds are causing water to gush into the eastern states, especially in Queensland and New South Wales. Thus far, two casualties have been reported with each from the respective states.
Battered by natural disasters, evacuations and humanitarian aids are the utmost concern for the government. Bushfires in the south claimed more than 170 lives, while flash floods in the east and north are putting lives of many in danger.
