It hasn’t occurred yet, but will be happening soon.

The red lava is already streaming down the Mayon volcano in the Philippines sending over 30,000 residents searching for refuge.

According to experts, the volcano will erupt in a big way soon.There are approximately 50,000 that dwell around the base of the areas most alive volcano.

There have been reports of the ground shaking many times on Wednesday. Emergency areas have been set up to help out the people they are evacuating.

It has become a bit of a tourist event as people want to view the lava flowing down the sides of the moutain.

This volcano has erupted 49 times since they started documenting the eruptions in 1616.

The Philippines area is in the circle of fault lines that encircle the Pacific Basin. It is also called The Ring of Fire. The area is very active with earth quakes and volcano’s errupting.

When the same volcano erupted in 1814, over 1200 people perished and towns were destroyed. It was the worst time of all erruptions Mayon has had. The last one was in 1993.
