Fire
The suspected cause of the accident were found to be a sofa that was set alighted just outside the building. Fire were then spread and led to a domino effect. A resident has had to be rehoused.
The fire service said that earlier, a similar incident occurred – another sofa were set alight in the street and a shed was damaged in the event. This aroused the suspicion that both incidents might be linked.
Fire officer Andy Robb warned that such are severe incidents and they could result in loss of life.
The police and the fire service are collaborating in the investigation into the fire.
