
There were many cars and two minibuses loaded with passengers waiting in line on the Lagos-Ibadan road.
20 different vehicles where damaged and a great deal of bodies that were burnt so bad that no one could tell who they were.
Police are reported as saying that there was no checkpoint on the road on Sunday.
According to Umar Shehu Elleman in Lagos, it is not unusual for police to have roadblocks that aren’t assigned by the police force. They set them up to take bribes.
There is no definite number of how many people died in the accident.
They only know by what witness’s have reported as seeing, two minibuses and some cars. A minibus can have up to 18 riders at a time.
It is also been reported by that the lorry owners, that their two people in the truck died in the accident.
