36 people died. It is said to be the most viciousĀ act of fierceness since the United States pulled troops out leaving only 50,000 troops in Baghdad.
Most of the 36 people who perished were citizens, residents who lived in the area. They now feel that the government has let them down. Not protecting them from the rebel forces.
21 people perished in the Kazimiyah area, a neighborhood in the northern parts of Baghdad. It was the hardest hit with the bomb exploding close by the National Security Ministry in Adan Square. There were over 70 people injured in the blast.
Another bomb exploded ending the lives of 10 people in a business area of Baghdad’s Mansour neighborhood. The bomb exploded close to the AsiaCell store, it is one of Iraq’s largest cell phone providers.
Then a third bomb in Fallujah was set off by a suicide bomber. The suicide bomber ran their car into the Iraq army patrol in Fallujah’s business area. There was an Iraqi soldier killed and 4 non military personnel. Possibly more the 15 were wounded in the explosion.
At this time no group has come forward to claim responsibility for the attacks.
