Mr. Monasch projected that the actual death toll might even be higher than recorded, attributing to the fact that people in rural areas frequently just bury the dead without reporting.
The epidemic might spread further, extend uncontrollably during rainy season from December to March. To make matter worst, population in Zimbabwe is in short of food; people were reported to be in extreme hunger even for the disease-stricken. If another round of cholera was to strike, under conditions such as shortages of food and medical aids, it could no doubt lead to a far more fatal epidemic.
