The latest update is that now 45 people have died. A young boy who was seriously injured has now died.

The death rate appears to keep going up. There have now been over 200 people that have died from polio in Congo.

Polio kills as many as 10 percent of the people that become paralyzed by it. When their muscles that help them to breathe no longer function, they can suffocate.

Many of the cases of polio in Congo have ended up in death. Possibly 42 percent according to Martin Dawes a spokesperson for UNICEF in West Africa.

They are giving the vaccination to about 3 million people who live in the Congo-Brazzaville, Congo-Kinshasa and the Angola areas this past month. They will be giving these vaccinations through the rest of the year.

The amount of people who perished in the shootings has now risen to 58 with 75 injured. Innocent people just wanting to worship God. What could they have done to anger anyone?

I fully agree with the residents about not wanting a dump near my home. Who would want to smell other peoples garbage all the time. When we drive by a local dump, the smell can make you sick. Imagine living near there and do you really think those people will ever be able to sell their homes? No way.

So many innocent die in these attacks. How long must this violence continue. A baby, a father, sisters, none had done wrong. A bus full of passengers wounded. Why should they be targets?
