The President conveyed commiserations to the victims’ families and bemoaned that many Venezuelan armies have sacrificed their lives when performing their duties to avoid the chaos and violence from passing over from Colombia’s to Venezuela lately.
The U.S. government has allegedly claimed that it was the responsibility of Venezuelan government for failing to avoid border penetrations by Colombian freedom fighter and rightist paramilitary force during the annual appraisal of terrorism. However, President Chavez claimed that the government has put in effort to control the borderline illegal crosses of the rebels and the decades-long conflict has jeopardized the lives of Venezuelan army. President Chavez has urged President Obama to facilitate in organizing a peace talk with the Colombian government.
