    Suicide Bombings Continue in Pakistan

    In Qizza Khawani Bazaar of Peshawar, which is located in Pakistan, there were 22 people killed and 27 more received injuries as a bomb was set off in a busy market place. Islamabad is in the northwestern part of Pakistan.

    The bomb exploded Monday evening a little past 6:30pm or 9:30am EST.

    The person responsible for the explosion walked into the market place and set off the bombs according to Mian Iftikhar Hussain, He is a spokes person for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which was once known as the North West Frontier Province.

    A doctor at the area  hospital, Lady Reading Hospital, noted that the number dead at this time is 22.

    At the time of the explosion, there was a group of people expressing their disagreement with doing more load shedding which is an act of purposely cutting power to save electric. Pakistan is suffering from an energy shortage.

    Rebels had  been rather quiet in the area for  about 4 months, according to police chief Liaqat Ali. “Now they have reorganized and regrouped and they will try to hurt us and hit us. Nonetheless we are ready and we will put in our best.”

    There have been other attacks in the last few days.
