
Another 100 people were injured in the southeastern Iranian city.
Jundollah, a Sunni Muslim insurgent group took credit for the assaults. They reported in an email that the assault was in revenge for the hanging of the their leader, Abdolmalek Rigi.
Rigi was put to death last June after he was found guilty of conducting deadly assaults.
The organization of Jundollah says that they are defending the Iran Sunni Muslin minorities rights.
The two assaults happened close to the Zahedan’s Grand Mosque.
The dead include some Iran Revolutionary Guards. There were also some injured in the blast.
