    Post-election violence in Ivory Coast has killed at least 296 people since the middle of December, the United Nations mission said on Thursday. Laurent Gbagbo and challenger Alassane Ouattara have been locked in a violent huge struggle since a November 28 presidential election both assert to have won.

    The electoral commission results certified via the U.N. illustrated Ouattara won the poll via an 8-point margin, and he has thick global recognition, but Gbagbo has refused to stair down and holds composure of the military. Scores have been murdered in clashes between Ouattara adherents and safety coerces, largely in raids via pro-Gbagbo troops and allied militias on pro-Ouattara neighborhoods. Many have also been kidnapped in those raids.

    The military coerces loyal to Gbagbo murdered at least six civilians in a pro-Ouattara field on Monday, witnesses said. And final weekend, Gbagbo held a service for the 32 soldiers and police murdered since mid-December, as shortly as objects turned violent. Gbagbo’s coerces occasionally remark on victim numbers and frequently closed down the spectacle of violence, barring access to the press or public whereas bodies are swept out.
