Since the overthrown of the Taleban seven years ago, countless violence has broke out between foreign forces and the militants in Afghan. Another clash was reported in the Afghan province of Wardak, taking away the lives of at least three civilians. According to officials, foot patrol had initiated the fire when a car and a minibus had failed to stop despite being warned with warning shots. The attack occurred on the highway between Kabul and the southern province of Kandahar, reported by a spokesman of Nato.

The clash eventually involve the militants using civilians as cover to avoid foot patrols/ gunshots; there were many civilians at the area as a wedding was scheduled to be held on that day. President Hamid Karzai has repeatedly called on foreign forces to minimise civilian casualties. However, this attacked had yet taken away another three civilian lives, adding to the estimated total death toll of 4000 this year.
