Shooting in UK
At about 10:35am UK time, he discharged his first shots.
He took 12 lives in his rampage and wounded another 25.
Police told people to stay put indoors as they used dogs to search for him.
The finally found his body in some woods. He had possibly killed himself. There was a gun in the area and his taxi cab wasn’t far away.
There were 30 different locations where Bird shot someone. There is no known reason for him to have done this.
The shooting spree went through 3 small localities in the area of Cumbria. The first shooting took place in the Irish Sea port town of Whitehaven.
A hot line has been set up for relatives to try and contact the police who are trying to identify the victims and let relatives know.
