This bomb attack came just three weeks before US official withdrawal from major Iraqi cities and towns on the coming 30 June. The decision was made by the US government judging from a fallen rate of violence in the respective cities. Though sequential bombings are still happening in Iraq, such occurrence are gradually dropping in numbers.
Total withdrawal of US troops from Iraq will take place in 2012.
