The witness said there were two car bombs detonated in quick succession near Iraqi federal constructions, an inside ministry official said. One of the bombs blasted outdoors Baghdad’s government construction and the second one outdoors the justice ministry, approximate 500 meters (1,600 feet) away.
Sunday’s assails came a day after Susan Rice, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, ended a two-day visit to Iraq. Among her halts was the foreign ministry, one of six sites that were assailed on August 19.
