Train and Bus collide
The bus that travels the city streets only, went against the signal warning of an approaching train. The driver continued to try and cross the tracks. First the driver ran a stop light and then the accident happened.
Prior to the collision, the driver had been standing outside the sitting bus. Passengers had warned the driver of the approaching train. Right before the collision, the driver got into the bus and began to drive it right before the train.
The bus was pushed 30 meters down the tracks.
All deaths occurred within the bus. 42 riders perished and 9 others injured.
The accident is under investigation.
The safety record in Ukraine is not very good due to bad road and drivers who don’t follow the rules.
