39 Wedding Guest Die in Bombing
An explosion was set off during the time the guest were having their dinner. It happened between 9:30 and 10 pm.
The blast took place where only the men and boys were dining. The women were eating their dinner in a separate area as is the tradition in Afghanistan.
All 39 that perished were men or boys.
There were also another 73 others injured in the blast.
The bombing happened in the Arghanab area which is located about 19 miles from Kandahar.
The bombing has been acknowledged by the International Security Assistance Force. At this time they are giving no data about deaths. They and the Afghan military have shut down the area.
