
Los Angeles – More than 30 people were released from hospital on Sunday, August 9th, 2009, for being injured at a riot, which occured in a prison at Southern California, and caused 9 of others to be locked down.
The riot started at Saturday night, which caused 55 prisoners to be sent to the hospital, and more than 250 were injured, reported by the officials. 38 inmates were treated and would expectedly go back to the California Institution for Men in Chino, east of Los Angeles, till Sunday, reported by George Kostyrko, Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation spokesman.
The injuries weren’t so serious, just somehow like stab wounds or slashes. One of the inmates were feeling a strong injury though, reported by Kostyrko. It’s said that there’s no life-threatening injury at all.
This riot is the biggest one since December 2006, fortunately no prison staff member got injured.
