
23 Killed In Peru Bus Crash
Two buses from oppositely direction were collided head to head when they were driving on a mountainous road near Lake Titicaca in the southeastern Andean region of Puno. This crashes made at least 23 people killed and more than 50 injured. All the identified dead are citizens of Peru. This accident happened at Thursday morning on the road linking the cities of Juliaca and Arequipa in the Santa Lucia district, about an hour’s drive from Lake Titicaca high in the Andes. There are as much as four persons that trapped in the crashed buses after the accident, said the rescue team.

According to the local police, bus accidents are commonly happened in Peru because of the poor traffic regulation and lack of maintenance of highway in Peru. More than 800 persons are killed in the Peru highway since last year.
