16 Die in Nigeria and 20 Homes Are Set On Fire
The majority of the people killed were Christians. They are of the social group, Sayawa.
According to police, the assault occurred in the early morning hours on Friday near the town of, Tafawa Balewa.
Most of the people in the town were of the Sayawa social group. They are also in the surrounding areas. The rulers of this area have been mostly been of the Muslim Fulani social group.
The assaults are due to the Sayawas wanting there own conventional leader. These assaults have been occurring for the last twenty years.
