As he entered into the classroom, he began shooting the unsuspecting students. He shot at the heads of the students intending to kill them. There were 10 girls and one boy killed.
The shooter, a man that had once gone to the school, is said to have shot himself when he saw he was surrounded by police.
People in near by buildings could hear the shots coming from the school. Students were coming out from the building covered with blood and asking for help. Some noted that there was a man killing students inside the building.
There were possibly more then 20 people shot and wounded by the shooter.
The classroom the shooter entered, according to a trash collector who was also at the school, was where students were studying Portuguese.
It was an 8th grade class room.
There are crowds of people standing outside the school building. They are possibly looking for their children or others that go to school there, concerned about their welfare.
The school is in a lower income neighborhood and children that go there are age 9 to 14.
