    Warnings 2 and 1 are issued in several city’s and places. Citizens in low lying areas and near mountains are advised to take all necessary precautions against possible flash floods and landslides. Helen forces classes and schools In Ilocos to shut down. Around 100 000 students didn’t visit school yesterday because of tropical storm Helen.

    Tornado touches ground near Willmar on Friday. Tornado was destroying homes and damaging turkey farm, a mobile dealership and a equipment farm. Two people were injured. Both injuries were minor. Power was also down, so power company’s are restoring power for residents. Victims say:
    “We watched the funnel cloud go to the east of us,” Della Underland told the West Central Tribune. “We were pretty shook up for a while, but I guess we are OK.”

    Taranaki barns demolished by tornado

    Taranaki settlement was yesterday hit by tornado and two barns were destroyed by twister. Linda Brown, on Everett Rd, said her family watched in terror from their house as the tornado formed in the sky, the Taranaki Daily News reported. A series of twisters struck Taranaki last year at this time leaving millions of dollars damage.

    Tropical Storm Bertha has formed in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Africa. This is second named storm of the Atlantic Hurricane season and its moving towards the west. Its too early to say if it will hit land. First tropical storm was named Arthur this season.

    Thunderstorm hits Brush City

    Cleanup is continuing in Morgan County after all day thunderstorm which flooded the hospital and knocked down trees. Brush City Administrator Monty Torres say: “People where gathering at rodeo when first lightning come, weather service have issued tornado warning. “About once or twice a year we get a pretty good rain storm but this one was a lot more rain, combined with the high winds, and it really did damage here”. Rodeo, parade and carnival will continue thanks to residents that worked hard to clean up streets.
