    Landslide
Heavy rains in the region of Peru have been paving way for landslides in many places.

In the southern region of Puno heavy rains have resulted in a land slide which took over 20 lives and 20 more missing.
Non – stop heavy rains have lead way to floods which have submerged more than half of peru.

Adding to it these land slides are making the situation look even more badly.
Heavy amounts of water from these rains get stagnated in places, results in the soil losing its strength. Paving way to land slides.

Peru has seen many land slides in its history prior to this. But the timing of the land slide caught everyone by surprise as it was least expected in that village and that point.

Families who have lost their loved ones in the landslide are mourning for their loss and missing member’s families are worried about safety of their loved ones.
The heavy rains and floods are delaying the rescue mission, which is under way in helping as many members as possible out of it.

    Drought
With parts of USA experiencing abundance rainfall, Georgia was the exception. Georgia officials have expressed concern over low water levels in lakes and streams, with northern areas of the state being the worst. The state has since announced a complete ban on all outdoor watering activities, after nearly a third of the state has been classified as moderately drought. In addition, restriction measures were imposed to further conserve this scarce resource.

Authorities are now in fear that available water sources, such as lakes and reservoirs, might not fully recover with average rainfall amounts in coming winter. Lake Lanier is among the top most concern, since it is main water supply for the whole of Atlanta region.
