    Devastating Floods in Yemen

    Yemen has been hit by heavy tropical rains which have caused major devastation in the state region.
    More than 48 people are reported dead or missing from the state. The tropical rains have hit the country last week and continuing ever since.
    Most of the casualties are in the eastern province of Hadhramawt where the tropical rains hit first.
    Air rescue is under way but the damage is unavoidable as most of the constructions in the state are of mud. All the houses, buildings are going down with the flood.
    There has also been severe flooding in the capital, Sanaa, in recent days.
    On Saturday at least six aircraft took off from Sanaa carrying tents, food and medicine to Hadramawt province.
    In 2006 almost a similar situation has aroused in the state of Yemen, leaving a lot of devastation and dead people behind.

    Devastating floods hit Honduras

    Rains in Honduras have been pouring in non stop from a week. This down pour has caused a lot of devastation to the country. Cattle and crop have been destroyed leaving a lot of farmers exploited of their hard work. Heavy floods have destroyed a lot of river bridges allowing the flow to cause further destruction.
    It has been reported that 3 people have died, 6 people are missing and atleast 12000 people are on the move.
    Large amount of evacuation operation has been in progress by the government. President Manuel Zelaya has announced state of emergency in the country.
    The heavy rain is the result of a tropical depression that formed last week in the northwest Caribbean and has now become a large, slow moving low pressure system over the region. It is the reason of the heavy showers.

    More than 50 000 people fled their homes after dam collapsed in south Nepal. So far 19 000 people have been affected by this dam collapse. Nepal is facing lack of food and health officials are now concerned about an outbreak waterborne diseases. They say 6 people have die so far. About 28 million people were affected by the floods in India, Bangladesh and Nepal last year, in which more than 400 people died.

    Tropical storm Fay kills 20 people

    Tropical Storm
    Tropical storm Fay is lashing Florida for fifth day and is the first storm to make landfall three times in the state for almost 50 years. Fay have caused heavy flooding and leaving thousand people without power. Citizens are warned of snakes and alligators searching for dry land. Warning for Tornadoes is also issued. Forecasters say storm will weaken but lets wait and see.

    Vietnam floods
    Flash floods and landslides caused by tropical storm kills at least 62 people. Dozens of people are missing and villages are cut off in Lao Cai region. Tropical storm Kammuri hit china with rain and winds earlier in the week. Kammuri is the ninth tropical storm this year.     Monsoon flood destroys thousand homes

    30 people died in north west Pakistan where monsoon rain create floods. Floods have also destroyed over 1000 homes, bridges and at least 1 school. It said that the Kabul and Swat rivers that flow near the capital had both broken their banks. Officials at a flood monitoring center set up by the government of North West Frontier Province (NWFP) told the BBC Urdu service that at least 12 people had been killed in areas close to Peshawar, the provincial capital.

    China lost 305 people this year in floods

    China floods have kill 305 people and caused 7.08 billions dollars in direct economic losses so far this year. There is still 73 missing people and more than 61.4 million of people and 3.64 million hectares of farmland were affected and 249 000 houses destroyed. Flooding is a perennial problem in much of southern and eastern China during the summer.

    U.S. Flooding continues, last 2 months rains makes Missouri breach. Mud watter was send into Winfield(800 people town). Emergency worker at Winfield says morale still high, despite breach.
    Flooding is threatening to damage crops 16.200 hectares of land. More than 38 000 people had to leave they homes. In Iowa 83 of 99 counties declare disaster areas. “They really are involved in a race against that water,” Missouri Gov. Matt Blunt said. “It’s really just a reminder of how powerful a force the Mississippi River is.” River next levee is at St. Louis, river will have high crest there at Sunday evening.
