As a group of Iraqi military personnel were traveling home on a small bus, a bomb placed alongside the road was set off, 9 of them died.

The soldiers were off duty. There were 6 other soldiers on the bus that were wounded by the explosion.

The bomb was placed on the side of the road outside of Mosul.

There was one soldier on the bus that had served as a colonel in the Iraqi army while Saddam Hussein was ruling Iraq.

At an earlier time during the same day, there were 7 or more non military personnel that were killed. The US and the Iraqi military were performing a security operation close to Falluja which is on the west side of Baghdad.

Why the operation was done, no one is giving out the details. The US military is not releasing any information.

Over the last months there has been an increase of assaults. Most of the assaults are against the Iraqi soldiers and the police.

An explosion on Sept 9th in San Bruno California killed 4 people and has resulted in 37 dwellings being damaged.

The fire is at this point under control by firefighters. It is a huge fire that was fueled by a gas line.

The gas line was ruptured somehow and shot fireballs up into the sky. They went as far as 80 feet high in the residential area that is located close to the San Francisco airport.

Some are describing the area as looking like a moonscape.

Parched dwellings and the burnt empty shells of cars are found on the streets of the neighborhood.

Fire fighters put out many hot spots where fires would just pop up, but are now saying the fire is under control.

The explosion was described to be like a bomb going off.

There are at this time 4 deaths being reported and another 52 people hurt. Three of the ones injured were patients that had third degree burns and had to be taken to the hospital.

They did expect there to be many more deaths, but it seems like everyone that lives there or was in the area has been found.

The gas line is safe now. Pacific Gas and Electric Co president, Chris Johns reported on Friday that there is no more gas being ran through the line.

The explosion is under investigation.

On Tuesday, in Pakistan, there were two different assaults in the countries northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. There were 20 that died and another 98 or more injured.

A remote car bomb is responsible for the deaths of 20 people. There were 9 women and 6 children that were killed. The car contained an estimated amount of about 441 pounds of explosives according to Khalid Khan Umarzai.

There were possibly more then 94 people hurt in the explosion and 25 or more buildings were messed up from the blast.

Another attack later in the day injured 4 police officers. A bomb went off close to their van in the Hangu district.

In Lahore, Pakistan on Wednesday, three different suicide bombs went off during the progression of the Shiite. At this time 31 deaths have been reported.

The three different blast happened within an area of 2000 feet injuring as many as 340 people. There were 7 that received serious injuries.

It was the work of suicide bombers. One officer saw a bomber just as the progression was coming to an end. He was unable to reach the person soon enough to stop him from detonating the bomb.

Just 3 to 4 minutes after the first went off, another explosion was set off and then another one 25 minutes later. While investigating the bombings there has been 2 heads and a torso found in separate areas.

Police had let up on the security during the procession as it was ending. There were 2500 officers patrolling during the procession. They had been told that a assault could be taking place.

“At the end of the procession, security should have been more vigilant,” Pervez said. “The incident happened because of security breach.”

The country of Pakistan consist of mainly Sunni Muslims. There have always been tension between the Sunni nation and the Shiites.

Local stations are showing photos of people who are very upset with the police, some are hitting them, others are burning cars and some are attempting to bust into a police station. Paramilitary units are patrolling the streets trying to regain some control.

Possibly up to 40 people died in and accident with a lorry carrying sugar that wrecked into a highway checkpoint. Flames shot from the lorry as it hit cars sitting in line.

There were many cars and two minibuses loaded with passengers waiting in line on the Lagos-Ibadan road.

20 different vehicles where damaged and a great deal of bodies that were burnt so bad that no one could tell who they were.

Police are reported as saying that there was no checkpoint on the road on Sunday.

According to Umar Shehu Elleman in Lagos, it is not unusual for police to have roadblocks that aren’t assigned by the police force. They set them up to take bribes.

There is no definite number of how many people died in the accident.

They only know by what witness’s have reported as seeing,  two minibuses and some cars. A minibus can have up to 18 riders at a time.

It is also been reported by that the lorry owners, that their two people in the truck died in the accident.

The explosion happened in a marketplace close to the city of Baquba in Iraq. There were 15 or more people killed in the explosion of the car bombing. Another 40 were injured.

The bomb was set off close by a mosque in Abu Sayda. It is a village that consist of mostly Shia and is located around 45 miles on the north side of Baghdad, the capital of Iraq.

According to police, the explosion resulted in buildings falling down. There were both women and children wounded in the explosion.

The city of Baquba has experienced quite a few assaults lately.

A curfew has been put into action in Abu Sayda by the officials. They are concerned there could be more explosives in the area.

There were at least 21 people who lost their lives in two suicide assaults aimed at the prominent Shiite Muslim mosque located in the Zahedan.

Another 100 people were injured in the southeastern Iranian city.

Jundollah, a Sunni Muslim insurgent group took credit for the assaults. They reported in an email that the assault was in revenge for the hanging of the their leader, Abdolmalek Rigi.

Rigi was put to death last June after he was found guilty of conducting deadly assaults.

The organization of Jundollah says that they are defending the Iran Sunni Muslin minorities rights.

The two assaults happened close to the Zahedan’s Grand Mosque.

The dead include some Iran Revolutionary Guards. There were also some injured in the blast.

There were two explosions that went off as innocent people were in the area watching the final moments of the World Cup Game. 74 people died in the explosions.

Somali Islamist has taken credit for the blasts. Saying they were the instigators in the attack that took place in Kampala, the capital of Ugandan.

There was mention of other pending attacks by the spokesman for the Somali group.

It is thought that possibly a head found nearby one of the explosions is the head of one of  the suicide bombers. He was a Somali so it is possible.

This  is not the first time that the al-Shabab has threatened Kampala. There have been more threats on other areas, Bujumbura is one.

There was about another 70 people wounded in the explosions.

The blast went through a rugby club and an Ethiopian eating place. At the rugby club, they found chairs toppled over, blood and parts of skin on the flooring.
