Haiti remains in turmoil as survivors are still being pulled from the rubble.
People are being rescued that have been nearly a week without food or water. One trapped survivor has reported that he had eaten peanut butter and jelly from the store he was trapped in. He was really one of the lucky ones. He had food.
A student, Maxine Fallon, forced herself to remain awake hoping for rescuers who finally did arrive. Praying for help constantly. There are possibly many more under the remains of the school that Fallon was trapped inside of.
Jessica is a little girl, 6 years of age. She was successfully rescued by locals and transported to a make shift hospital.
There are still many survivors under all the debris in Haiti. Waiting for help.
The situation in Haiti is still in chaos. There isn’t enough food or water. People are stealing candles to have light in their homes.
Fights have developed but the officials are saying the area is stable.
The rescue efforts will be continuing.
There have been 24 US citizens that perished in the quake. Another 25 are still missing but there is feeling that they have too passed away.
Even though there is no actual over all count of the number of people who perished in this quake, it is being estimated at one hundred thousand to onehundred and fifity thousand just in the Port-au-Prince locality.
