    Severe floods in Washington State

    Streets and roads of Washington State have been inundated with flood water.

    Excess melting ice from the mountains combined with the heavy torrential rains is the problem responsible for the flood waters.

    All the rivers in the city have swelled beyond limit allowing more water to flow into the city.
    All the residents have been evacuated to safer locations until this flood in under control.
    The most severely hit place is in West Washington where around 7 inches of rain has been recorded in the past 24 hours.

    Many deaths have been reported due to Avalanches in the mountain routes, so to be on safer side all the mountain routes have been shut down for the moment.
    Due to severe flooding the highway between Seattle and Portland in Oregon has also been closed

    Many people lose lives due to heavy Avalanches

    Early signs of Snow fall this year are starting show it’s after effects through heavy avalanches that were sighted in many parts of the world.

    In the North West USA snow fall started in the month of October only. So by December, the month in which heavy snow fall is expected, there is already heavy snow coagulated at all the places making the situation even worse with the heavy snow falls. In the past two weeks alone there have been 19 deaths that have been recorded who got caught in the avalanches and lost their lives.

    Ski resorts across the world are suffering the effect more than anyone else. As the level of snow is continuously increasing in places like Austria members are losing their lives in the disaster. One skier was reported to have lost his life during his skiing session to an avalanche.

    Countries like Canada, Japan and other cold countries have seen a few deaths in the recent days due to these heavy avalanches.

    Japan is facing serious Snow fall problems in the past few days.
    The winter storm has hit Japan pretty hard, resulting in heavy snow falls and block outs at many points in the Country.
    Due to this varied change in climate all the means of transport which include buses, Planes and other means have been temporarily put off.

    Sapporo received a 32 cm snow fall over the past few days. Reports suggest that the snow fall is going to continue and more over it is just going to get worse.
    Another storm is expected to flow from the Northern part of Japan and will flow for couple of days leaving most of the places completely in snow.

    The Meteorological Agencies have issued warnings to all the people against heavy snow falls, avalanches and strongly flowing winds.
    Warnings for high waves and gales were also issued for coastal regions of Hokkaido and Honshu.

    Northern Japan is experiencing the place which is experiencing the worst winter of all.

    Rare snowfall blanketed southern USA

    States of Louisiana and Mississippi, southern USA, were covered with snow, with some areas reaching up to as high as 8 inches in depth. Stretch of roads, offices, as well as schools were forced to shut down, while driving conditions were made unfavourable with deep snow hindering access to roads. Cleco Corp, one of Louisiana’s largest power providers, has reportedly terminated over 10,000 power supplies, leaving more than thousands without electricity. Flights at Louis Armstrong International Airport outside New Orleans were also delayed due to the extreme weather condition.

    Situation was even more severe in northeastern part of USA, whereby half a million homes and businesses in New England and upstate New York have their power cut off by an ice storm. Schools were closed and travels disrupted. Governors have declared state of emergency in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

    Heavy snow fall is making it difficult for the survivors of Tibet to recover from the earth quake hit.
    Temperatures went down drastically when the snow started falling in the eastern part of Tibet.
    According to the reports two members are dead and many missing. The heavy snow fall has resulted in road blocks, power shortages etc. Survivors have been living in tents from the time of the earth quake, but the heavy snow fall has made that also difficult.
    Relief materials consisting of food and blankets are hard to catch on to with the heavy winds flowing.
    Heavy snowstorms are rare for this part of Tibet in October, and temperatures are unseasonably cold. In Lhasa, the regional capital, the average maximum temperature in October is 17C (63F), but yesterday the high was just 8C (46F). The wet season for Tibet is generally March to September, so should be soon coming to an end.

    Early snow fall in some states of USA

    Colorado and Nebraska have received their first amount of snow fall this Friday; this is an early winter call for the states.
    The storm pushed southeast and out of the Rockies on Tuesday night, bringing strong winds, heavy rain and dumping around 20cm (8inches) of snow across parts of Colorado.
    This early snow fall has caused a lot of problems for travelers at the same time daily routines. But it is an early call for the ski season to pick up.
    Central plains have also received a slight hint of snow, with strong, cool winds flowing.
    In Nebraska the snow fall continued all day depositing snow on highways and everywhere else. This caused chaos as there were power shortages and inconvenience to general public.
    The winds are expected to move towards the eastern states of US giving them their early experience of snow fall.
