    Traces of Bird Flu confirmed by Nepal authorities

    Traces of Flu have been confirmed in Nepal. After rumors broke out that India doubts traces on flu in its border states, Nepal started checking a few specimens from their Chicken to confirm whether their country has also been affected.

    An incident in which 12 chickens have died is the main reason which triggered the experiments idea.
    The tests have returned positive results confirming the presence of H5N1 virus in these chickens.

    Officials were quick to react and have issued warning against Bird flu in the country and have also order the authorities to cull the chickens avoiding the spread of the disease.
    Atleast 13 000 chickens will be culled by these officials as a start.

    With this news confirmation neighboring country India has also initiated steps to secure its people from being affected by the virus.

    Strong Earth Quake hit near New Caledonia

    New Caledonia receives a huge shake from a very high magnitude earth quake.
    A strong 6.8 magnitude earth quake has been recorded near the group islands of New Caledonia.

    The earth quake occurred to the east of Noumea, atleast 420 kms away from the coast of Noumea.
    As the earth quake occurred so deep in the water geological scientists suggest that it wouldn’t bring any harm.

    No tsunami warnings have been sensed by the geological officials, nor there any drastic changes in the course of the sea around the island.
    Coasts near to the quake hit area might receive tidal problems but wouldn’t cause much damage.

    The choice of place of quake saved the people from possible ecological disturbance from it.

    Cold winds run through Canada causing very low temperatures

    Canada seems to be having frequent visits from the Cold artic winds, which along with low temperatures is sweeping across the country with very low temperatures being recorded in many places.
    The lowest temperature in the country has been recorded in Winnipeg area, which is -35C.

    he cold winds are flowing at even more lower temperatures of -50C.
    Other places like Regina in Saskatchewan has morning temperature close to -33C with the wind chills dropping down to -45C.
    The country hasn’t seen such cold temperatures in nearly ten years. Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Quebec are among the cities which are expected to have a continue run on the cold temperatures.
    In USA, in cities of Indiana and Illinois cold winds have deposited upto 20 cms of snow leaving the places in dire problems like road blocks and power cuts.

    Death toll raises due to floods in Fiji

    Floods in Fiji are causing more and more problems to the people there.
    Recently there have been reports that atleast 10 members lost their lives drowning in the flood water.
    Due to heavy floods a river overflowed near the banks of northern island of Vanua Levu which claimed the life of a three year old boy.
    A boat carrying 24 people went missing due to the overflow of the river water.
    A rescue team is under way searching for the missing boat but the continuous heavy floods are intervening and making it difficult for the rescue to continue pursuing for missing people.
    Thousands of people have been provided temporary shelters where food and water is constantly supplied to them from the Government.
    At such stage the country is facing a heavy financial crisis in providing the basic the victims with basic needs.
    US, China, Australia and New Zealand have come forward regardless less of the political differences and announced that aid will be sent as soon as possible.
    Several warnings have been given asking people to stay at a secure place and reach for help to the nearest rescue center.

    Heavy rains cause serious floods in Philippines

    Strong rainfalls over the past week have created havoc in the country of Philippines.
    These rainfalls became the reason for many land slides and heavy floods which took 11 lives until now and have 8 more missing.

    Series of rains over different parts of Philippines has left more than 200 000 people homeless and in grief.
    Many members have been evacuated to safer places and are provided with temporary shelter until the rains cease.
    The continuous pouring is making it difficult for the rescue team to go ahead with their rescue mission.

    The tail end of an active cold front which has been lingering around the north and eastern sides of the country has been noted as the main reason for the unusual heavy rains.

    In Philippines heavy rains are generally expected through out the year, these rains are caused by the pacific winds that flow through the country.
    But this time the combination of the cold front and the pacific winds resulted in the heavy devastating rains.

    Cold Winter storm might cause low temperatures in USA

    The Midwest and Northeast parts of USA have been experiencing early winter this year, with heavy snowfall which have been a menace to people.
    With the strong cold winter storm arriving, the situation is just going to get worse.

    Reports suggest that the storm will be landing over the south east in the next 24 hours.

    Northern plains will be the first to receive the storm, after which the storm will continue its course towards Great Lakes, Ohio and the Deep South bringing drastic changes in the climatic conditions in these places.

    Afterwards the storm is expected to continue its course towards the North eastern states causing the temperatures to dip down to very low temperatures, which the place haven’t experienced since 1994.

    The maximum temperature the New Yorkers are experiencing these days is 3C and in nights the temperature is as low as -18C, making survival difficult for people there.

    Heavy torrential rains cause floods in Fiji

    Heavy torrential rains have been pouring continuously in Fiji, causing heavy floods in most parts of the country.

    Most of the streets, roads and houses are completely inundated by the flood water leaving thousands of people homeless.
    Large number of population is on move to safer places until the floods dry down.

    There are atleast 8000 people who are being treated in refugee camps set up by the government.
    A total of 114 refugee camps have been set up in retaliation for the flood hit families, providing food and shelter.

    Due to continuous floods rescue teams are having hard time trying to fix power and water shortage problems.
    Despite of the differences New Zealand has announced that it will be sending aid to Fiji’s Red Cross.

    China issued an alert in the country for Bird Flu

    A 19 year old was reportedly diseased due to bird flu and passed away.
    This is almost the first death in China due to bird flu in almost a year.

    Reports suggest that the woman got diseased after coming in contact with a local poultry.
    The death of this young woman has triggered the officials and has issued an alert against the bird flu.
    Officials are taking severe measures in shutting down and disinfecting many poultry markets in the country.

    China has the most poultry farms in the world would face severe difficulties when such problems are confronted.

    Government has promised to tighten up the measures to make sure that no more citizens are being affected by the disease.
