CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico, resident mopping the blood at sidewalk out of a drug treatment center on 3rd September, 2009, to clean up the circumstance where the carnage occurred, gunmen forced some patients staying against a wall, then shot them down, 18 killed for it.

It’s already the third time of attack at drug treatment center in Ciudad Juarez, and Chihuahua state authorities said the  investigation had found out that these centers’d become hideouts for drug smugglers and gangs kept hitting each other.

Genaro Garcia Luna, Public Safety Secretary, Who’s top law enforcement official, said rehab clinics were used by drug sellers for recruiting and training centers as well.

The Associated Press was told by Genaro Garcia Luna that recently a drug suspect from La Familia cartel secretly saw some private, non profit drug treatment centers at western Michoacan state, the suspct said there could be 9,000 recruits trained for the cartel in year 2008.

Los Angeles – More than 30 people were released from hospital on Sunday, August 9th, 2009, for being injured at a riot, which occured in a prison at Southern California, and caused 9 of others to be locked down.

The riot started at Saturday night, which caused 55 prisoners to be sent to the hospital, and more than 250 were injured, reported by the officials. 38 inmates were treated and would expectedly  go back to the California Institution for Men in Chino, east of Los Angeles, till Sunday, reported by George Kostyrko, Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation spokesman.

The injuries weren’t so serious, just somehow like stab wounds or slashes. One of the inmates were feeling a strong injury though, reported by Kostyrko. It’s said that there’s no life-threatening injury at all.

This riot is the biggest one since December 2006, fortunately no prison staff member got injured.

Jakarta, Indonesia -

A small plane fell into a jungle in Indonesia, all 16 people on the plane were found dead, reported by an airline official on Wednesday August 5th, 2009.

The plane named as Twin Otter fell down due to the bad weather on Sunday, while flying above Papua, in eatern Indonesia, where there are  jungles and mountains. On the plane there were 2 crew members, and 14 passengers, 2 children were included.

President director of Merpati Nusantara airline, Bamgang Bhakti, said that rescue teams have reacehd to the site where the crash had taken place，found no survivor.

There are more than 18, 000 islands in Indonesia, has experienced lots of air crashes in latest years.

Wellington, New Zealand -

Officials searched for 27 missing people from a ferry sand at night of Wednesday, August 5th, 2009, in South Pacific water ofat Tonga, New Zealand.

The ferry sank quickly with no obvious reason, Neville Blackmore, spokesman of New Zealand Rescue Coordination Center, said they don’t know why it happened.

Country of New Zealand will look for the missing and rescue whoever’s in need of it, in Tonga area.

Blackmore said there were 49 passengers and 30 crew members on board when it sank at about 54 miles northeastern of  Nuku’ alofa, Tongan capital. Official corrected the total number of people on board to 79, from an earlier report of 75.

42 people rescued had been on 7 life rafts, and Blackmore said there were only 8 rafts. 10 other people were found by 3 vessels pulling them from the ocean, while searching for survivors. The 4th vesel was still searching.

Royal New Zealand Air Force also sent an aeroplane for searching around 80 square miles for survivors.

Beijing -

An incomplete building collapsed at a thunderstorm on August 4th, in northern China, 17 people were killed, according to the official report.

A two floor building owned by one iron casting company collapsed because of the heavy thunderstorm rain, which hit Shijiazhuang city on Tuesday, August 4th, said by Xinhua News Agency.

Name of the company is Tengfei Malleable Iron Casting Company Ltd., 20 employees of which were buried inside, but only 3 were saved and sent to hospital.

A local man said the building fell down just during a terrible thunder, when the rain dropped to the city, which is 125 miles away from Beijing.

In recent days northern part of China has been facing thunderstorms continuously due to the hot weather and high humidity.

A man from local government told that construction of the building hadn’t been done fully yet, workers were buried at the moment.
