    Ambush Leaves 12 Pakistani Soldiers Dead

    In North Waziristan, Taliban activists attacked a group of Pakastani armed force vehicles as they were traveling in the Gharlamai area near the town of Wachabbi.

    The rebels shot off rocket propelled grenades at the autos as they passed killing 12 of the pakastani soldiers. 10 of the other soldiers in convoy were wounded in the attack.

    The ambush happened following the offer of an award for any information about the Taliban leader. Rewards have also been set for the deputy chief of the Taliban and for 5 additional leaders which include Qari Hussain who is known for having bivouacs set up to prepare the suicide bombers.

    Following the attack, a battle errupted and the result of the shooting was 10 of the rebels being killed.

    Battles have been noted all across the north west as the military continues to flush out Taliban rebels from their areas.

    It is reported that in Kurram, over 35 people were killed since Saturday in battles between the rebel forces and military assaults.

    The military is aiming at  wiping out the base operations of the Taliban leader, Baitullah Mehsud. He is said to be in the mountain areas of South Waziristan. There is also a award that has been set for finding him and bringing him in.

    Rivers poured out of their banks as the abundant rainfall poured down in North Moravia devastating towns and villages in the way.

    Two brothers drowned trying to save their mom inside a home. Many elderly appear to have suffered heart attacks while they were awaiting help. Help did not arrive in time.

    There are 1000′s of military members helping out with the rescue and there have been hundreds of people evacuated.

    Some areas say this is the biggest flood that has occurred in  over 10 years. As much as 3 inches of rain pelted down in two hours in the area of Novvy.

    Even though the the river waters have started falling back into their banks, there are predictions of more rain to come. It will be heavy rains and Ostrava is getting ready for the hit.

    Austria, the country next door, has also felt the invasion of flood waters in the western part of Vienna. The Albertina Museum had to have many valuable pieces of art removed due to water leaking into the basement area.

    Injured get taken to local hospitals
    A company owned by individuals suffered an explosion on Sunday killing approximately 16 workers and causing injury to 43 more.

    The explosion took place in the eastern part of China’s Anhui province.

    Most of the deaths were workers at the plant. The injured were mostly residents of the area.

    The plant, Jingxin Mining Co, main production was quartz sand. There are about 100 workers employeed there.

    “It was a sight that no one should have to see,” was the Mayor of  Washingtons’ response to the collision of the two subway trains after he visited the site on Tuesday.

    There were 9 people that died in the biggest metro transportation collisions ever recorded in the records of Washington Metropolitan Transportation.

    In the back of one train, 3 bodies were discovered wedged in back of the drivers area. The driver of the 2nd train  has also perished in the wreck.

    The board of directors for the Metro division has  authorized $250,000 to be set aside to help out the members of the families of the deceased with expenses of funerals and other needs.

    The accident happened when both subway trains were moving along on the same rails and in the same direction at approximately 5:00 pm. They were traveling on an above ground rail through the District of Columbia.

    One train had stopped as the train ahead of them was being serviced and was awaiting instructions to move on.

    It is unknown if the train operator of the train as it approached the stopped train did not see the train in enough time to stop or not.

    There were earsplitting sounds and explosions as the trains hit. Many passengers feel lucky to be alive.

    Manila on alert before storm hits
    Flooding, a tornado and a landslide all happened around 4am on Thursday. Wind gust of up to 34 miler per hour were recorded 65 miles WSE of Subic and 106 mile West of the Manila the captial of the Philippines.

    The storm named Feria by the locals or also referred to as the  tropical depression Nangka caused close to 10,000 people to  be marooned across the area according to the coastal patrol.

    In Manila and Cavite, and the states of Bataan and Batangas school had to be called off in both the high school and primary levels according to the authorities.

    So far the death toll is at 8 people killed and there are another 11 that haven’t been located as of this report.

    In the early morning hours close to the city of Chengdu in China, bus number 9 erupted with fire causing the death of 24 of the passengers. An additional 10 passengers got safely out of the bus.

    As of the time of this report, they were still tallying up the total number of fatalities. Another report by a local internet news site newssc.net reported that there were a total of 42 people wounded in the fire.

    The fire on the communter bus began approximately at 8:30 am.Bus number 9 erupted in flames and thick smoke near the Chengdu Zoo. Many by standers saw the thick billows of smoke rising from the bus and very much blood  in the area.

    Many ambulances rushed to the scene to care for the wounded. They transported the injured to the Military General Hospital in Chengdu PLA.

    There are 42 wounded being taken care of at the hospital  Many are being treated for burns, some have required surgery and 27 are said to be in  life threatening status.

    On Tuesday, a group of vehicles journeying together, were struck by double explosions taking the lives of 10 security police officers.

    Both of the  blast took place in the Paktia province of Eastern Afghanistan where rebels had placed the roadside bombs.

    The first happened as explosives along the side of the road exploded  killing one officer.  A second explosion took the lives of 9 additional members of the team in the Paktia Chamkani region.

    The security personal were operating with the United States soldiers in that region. The agency they worked for is unknown.

    Rebels have moved forward on their assaults throughout Afghanistan. The US President, Barack Obama and his administration , have  arranged for 21,000 fresh United States  military personnel to be sent to help out in the battle to overthrow the advances the Taliban has made.

    Activists in a Taliban-held region of Pakistan are thought to have kidnapped 50 pupils and their teachers Monday after a ceremonial occasion commemorating the final  school day,according to a law officer.

    The kidnapping happened in North Waziristan,which is found in Pakistan’s tribal domain, where the armed forces have engaged in a blood-filled conflict against Taliban rebels.

    A police officer said a group of 27 vehicles containing 350 pupils and their instructors left Razmat Cadet College in the Federally Administered Tribal regions.  As it arrived at Khawaja Khur, 30 to 35 heavily armed Taliban combatants blockaded the vehicles and restrained eight of the vehicles and their 50 members, he said.

    Members of the additional 19 vehicles were able to drive away.

    The described kidnappings come after a series of onslaughts on civilians in north-west Pakistan.
