Was it a bomb? There were some that heard a loud explosion prior to the train leaving the tracks. Is the hole under the tracks from a bomb or did some one put it there?

These are questions being asked as rescue personnel are busy looking for people still missing at the site of the train wreck.

It happened last Friday. At first they thought as many as 39 people had perished, but the number has declined to 25.

The train was in route from Moscow to St Petersburg when it happened. There were approximately 90 people hurt as three of the cars and possibly more left the tracks as it was moving along. The area is considered one of the most active areas of train tracks in Russia.

So was it an explosion? Or was the big hole left there by other means. What did cause the train to leave the tracks?
