    Heavy rainfalls cause devastation in Jamaica

    Jamaica has been receiving heavy rainfall in the past few days. Many parts of Jamaica have been flooded with mud water from the rains.
    Bog Walk gorge in St. Catherine has been closed due to heavy flow of rain water as a result of the heavy rains.
    Safety measures have already been taken and many roads have been blocked due to over flow of mud water. People from the low level areas have been constantly evacuated to safer areas by the officials.
    A very slow moving frontal system close to the east of the island was responsible for the heavy rain and thunderstorms and is expected to bring more storms to Jamaica over the coming weekend. According to weather reports the rains are going to continue over the week end creating more devastation in the country.

    Its that time of October when the snow starts making its way into many parts of US, all the northern parts are experiencing this, but unfortunately eastern states of US have a different story.
    An area of high pressure off the western coast of the US has brought abundant sunshine and warm temperatures to much of Southern California.
    While cities like New York were facing power shortage problems due to cool and fast winds, parts of Calfornia was having temperatures higher then usual October end temperature.
    Temperature in Los Angles reached 34C (94F); nine degrees above the typical temperature for the end of October. The last time temperatures were this high was in 1931, when downtown Los Angeles equalled Wednesday’s high.

    Heavy snow fall is making it difficult for the survivors of Tibet to recover from the earth quake hit.
    Temperatures went down drastically when the snow started falling in the eastern part of Tibet.
    According to the reports two members are dead and many missing. The heavy snow fall has resulted in road blocks, power shortages etc. Survivors have been living in tents from the time of the earth quake, but the heavy snow fall has made that also difficult.
    Relief materials consisting of food and blankets are hard to catch on to with the heavy winds flowing.
    Heavy snowstorms are rare for this part of Tibet in October, and temperatures are unseasonably cold. In Lhasa, the regional capital, the average maximum temperature in October is 17C (63F), but yesterday the high was just 8C (46F). The wet season for Tibet is generally March to September, so should be soon coming to an end.

    US and UK get an early visit of winter

    Early visit of winter to UK and in many parts of USA. They have been receiving to very cold winds and temperature reaching 6 C.
    The temperature resemble to temperatures that of December and January’s temperatures.
    All warnings of heavy snow fall which might cause a lot of damage in the daily routine of people, has already been given to make sure that people are prepared rather than surprised.
    Across the Atlantic, parts of North America have also been hit by wintry weather, with Fargo in North Dakota breaking its previous record for snowfall at this time of year. Around 1.4 inches (36mm) or snow fell over a 12 hour period on Sunday.
    Similar conditions are with USA also.

    England faces Heavy rains and floods

    Northwest England has received a huge rainfall accompanied with strong winds, which left back a lot of disappointment and devastation. The most affected parts are Cumbria and Lancashire.
    Disappointment from the competitors who were looking forward for the Annual Original Mountain Marathon, which had to be called off due to the sudden surprise of bad weather.
    The bad weather increased heavily leaving the competitors stranding in the fells. A large team of mountain rescue tem has been summoned for help. There were atleast 2 casualties and more than 300 members are being taken care of who are suffering with hypothermia.
    As a result all the rivers broke open from its damns and the water started pouring into the highways and houses of people.

    Bangladesh receives a furious cyclone called Rashmi. According to the reports Cyclone Rashmi has affected the southern part of Bangladesh the most.
    2 People are reported to be dead and a lot more injured and moved to medical attention. The situation in the country is getting worse by the minute due to the cyclone.
    The ferocious cyclone is resulting in power cuts, property damage and more devastation in the country.
    Cyclone Rashmi, which formed in the Bay of Bengal during the middle of last week, has driven strong winds and rain over the country since Friday. It moved northeast, making landfall near Patharghata, southwest Bangladesh, during the early hours of Monday
    The cyclone seems to be weakening as the winds flow away from the center of the country towards the north. But there are still faint rains and strong wind blowing through the country.

    Devastating Floods in Yemen

    Yemen has been hit by heavy tropical rains which have caused major devastation in the state region.
    More than 48 people are reported dead or missing from the state. The tropical rains have hit the country last week and continuing ever since.
    Most of the casualties are in the eastern province of Hadhramawt where the tropical rains hit first.
    Air rescue is under way but the damage is unavoidable as most of the constructions in the state are of mud. All the houses, buildings are going down with the flood.
    There has also been severe flooding in the capital, Sanaa, in recent days.
    On Saturday at least six aircraft took off from Sanaa carrying tents, food and medicine to Hadramawt province.
    In 2006 almost a similar situation has aroused in the state of Yemen, leaving a lot of devastation and dead people behind.

    Early snow fall in some states of USA

    Colorado and Nebraska have received their first amount of snow fall this Friday; this is an early winter call for the states.
    The storm pushed southeast and out of the Rockies on Tuesday night, bringing strong winds, heavy rain and dumping around 20cm (8inches) of snow across parts of Colorado.
    This early snow fall has caused a lot of problems for travelers at the same time daily routines. But it is an early call for the ski season to pick up.
    Central plains have also received a slight hint of snow, with strong, cool winds flowing.
    In Nebraska the snow fall continued all day depositing snow on highways and everywhere else. This caused chaos as there were power shortages and inconvenience to general public.
    The winds are expected to move towards the eastern states of US giving them their early experience of snow fall.
