    Tanker explosion in Cameroon

    Tanker
    Fuel tanker have exploded in northern Cameroon and unknown number of people burn to death. 30 villagers surrounded tanker after he crashed trying to scoop petrol escaping from the vehicle which was en route from Nigeria to Chad. After bus tried to edge past tanker , a fire was sparked and whole area exploded. Correct number of casualties is not know. But bus had 20 passengers.

    Heavy Flooding in Nepal

    More than 50 000 people fled their homes after dam collapsed in south Nepal. So far 19 000 people have been affected by this dam collapse. Nepal is facing lack of food and health officials are now concerned about an outbreak waterborne diseases. They say 6 people have die so far. About 28 million people were affected by the floods in India, Bangladesh and Nepal last year, in which more than 400 people died.

    Tropical storm Fay kills 20 people

    Tropical Storm
    Tropical storm Fay is lashing Florida for fifth day and is the first storm to make landfall three times in the state for almost 50 years. Fay have caused heavy flooding and leaving thousand people without power. Citizens are warned of snakes and alligators searching for dry land. Warning for Tornadoes is also issued. Forecasters say storm will weaken but lets wait and see.

    Bomber kills 43 in Algeria

    Bomber have kill 43 people and injure 38. He have drive car full of explosive to paramilitary police training school. Algeria was attacked before by militants linked to al-Qaeda. Algeria has been struggling to emerge from a long civil conflict that started in 1992 when the army intervened to prevent a hardliner Islamic party winning parliamentary elections. Violence is reduced comparing it to a previous years, but this kind of attacks happen. Algeria is major exporter of oil and gas. No claims of responsibility for this attack was reported.

    Heavy monsoon rains destroyed houses and flooded parts of Andhra Pradesh. Monsoon rains have kill at least 40 people. More than 150 000 people have been moved to makeshift camps. Monsoon season starts at June and last until September. This year over 100 people die in monsoon rains.

    Floods in northern Vietnam

    Flash floods and landslides caused by tropical storm kills at least 62 people. Dozens of people are missing and villages are cut off in Lao Cai region. Tropical storm Kammuri hit china with rain and winds earlier in the week. Kammuri is the ninth tropical storm this year.     31 miners die in mudslide

    Mudslide kills 31 miners in Burkina Faso. They where mining in illegal gold mine. Accident happen when heavy rains have caused mudslide. Rescue team is digging trough mud but officials have say its unlikely anyone will be found alive. Burkina Faso have 200 000 people working in illegal mines, in June government ordered all illegal mines to shut down until September 30.

    Monsoon flood destroys thousand homes

    Pakistan flood
    30 people died in north west Pakistan where monsoon rain create floods. Floods have also destroyed over 1000 homes, bridges and at least 1 school. It said that the Kabul and Swat rivers that flow near the capital had both broken their banks. Officials at a flood monitoring center set up by the government of North West Frontier Province (NWFP) told the BBC Urdu service that at least 12 people had been killed in areas close to Peshawar, the provincial capital.
