    Bomb blast in India

    49 people have die and more than 150 were injured after bomb exploded in western Ahmadabad. 17 bombs exploded in residential areas, market places, public transports and hospitals. There is many bombs that didn’t explode and bomb specialists have defuse them. Indians Mujahideen have claimed responsibility for this attacks. President Pratibha Patil urged people to remain “steadfast in this testing time and maintain peace and harmony”. India’s leaders have appealed for calm.

    Typhoon Fung-Wong with winds of 140km/h has hit Taiwan bringing heavy rain and closing schools and businesses. One man is injured and boat with four Taiwanese and a Chinese man went missing on Friday near Matsu. In northern Taiwan, winds whipped up giant waves and hundreds of fishing boats took shelter in port. Dozen of villagers were evacuated from a mountainous regions.

    Japan hit by 6.8 magnitude earthquake

    More than 100 people are injured, services were out of order, roads were blocked after 6.8 earthquake hit Morioka in Japan. Despite of so strong earthquake damage was minimum because epicenter was so deep, more than 100km underground. Template gravestones were toppled by quake, but no deaths or buried people. No damage were reported to any nearby nuclear power stations. Japan is one of the place on world that gets hit by earthquakes almost every day.

    Earthquake hits Rhodes island

    Island of Rhodes was awaken by a 6.4 magnitude earthquake at 6:26 AM. Two deaths were recorded. One hotel were evacuated. 450 kilometers from Athena was epicenter. Earthquake was felt in all parts of Greece and Turkey and even in Israel and Cypar. Specialist have issued tsunami warning, so stay away from coast. “This was most likely the major quake and there will be more aftershocks to follow, which are not really a cause for concern,” said Geodynamic Institute chief George Stavrakakis. Greece is often rattled by quakes but most do not cause serious damage. Second quake have hit same place but now only 5.3 magnitude. This quake is aftershock of previous strong earthquake.

    Suicide kills 18 in Afghanistan

    Bomber rammed with explosive-laden motorbike into a police vehicle in southern Afghanistan, killing at least 18 people and hurting over 30 people. Taliban militants are blamed for attack, five police officers were also killed in attack.

Citizens in low lying areas and near mountains are advised to take all necessary precautions against possible flash floods and landslides. Helen forces classes and schools In Ilocos to shut down. Around 100 000 students didn’t visit school yesterday because of tropical storm Helen.

    Tornado
    Tornado touches ground near Willmar on Friday. Tornado was destroying homes and damaging turkey farm, a mobile dealership and a equipment farm. Two people were injured. Both injuries were minor. Power was also down, so power company’s are restoring power for residents. Victims say:
    “We watched the funnel cloud go to the east of us,” Della Underland told the West Central Tribune. “We were pretty shook up for a while, but I guess we are OK.”

    China lost 305 people this year in floods

    China floods have kill 305 people and caused 7.08 billions dollars in direct economic losses so far this year. There is still 73 missing people and more than 61.4 million of people and 3.64 million hectares of farmland were affected and 249 000 houses destroyed. Flooding is a perennial problem in much of southern and eastern China during the summer.
